Hello and welcome to my online store, AyeshaMakes! I’m Ayesha, and I created this site in January 2021 to sell my handmade accessories. I started teaching myself to sew in 2018 after years of suffering through ill fitting cheaply made garments and accessories, especially as a cosplayer. Shortly after, I joined instagram to document my sewing and cosplay journey. Before long (and much to my pleasant surprise), my followers started to ask me if they could purchase my “makes”—and so, the shop was born!
I have always been an avid supporter of Black owned business and talent; Now I'm proud to be a Black woman with a small business of my own and join the community of Black entrepreneurship.I work in healthcare for my day job, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, making things has become a source of joy in a time of darkness.
I want each and every person who purchases my creations to have something unique and beautiful. I want people to slay during their next zoom meeting, and look fierce at the grocery store. And, perhaps most importantly, I want to share the joy that creating my “makes” brings me with all of you.
